Soyou, a former member of girl band SISTAR, will release a remake of an all-time-favorite "The Blue Night of Jeju Island" on September 7.
The solo-turned singer uploaded a post on her Facebook page on Monday evening and notified fans of her upcoming song. The song, "The Blue Night of Jeju Island", was originally sung by Choi Sung-won in 1988 and was remade by various artists such as Sung Si-kyung and Taeyeon.
Souyou turned solo in May after SISTAR members decided to go their separate ways. The band's dissolution was somewhat unexpected, as the four-member-group had been one of the favorite girl groups in South Korea since their debut in 2010.
