Prosecutors demanded an eight-month jail term for Gill, a popular rapper and Leessang member who was charged with drunk driving.
"It is a big crime I've committed. I will sincerely accept any punishment," the 39-year-old said after Wednesday's court hearing. He was caught in June when a pedestrian reported to police after finding the rapper asleep inside a parked car with the door open.
The rapper had to bear heavy criticism as he was caught for drunk driving in 2004 and 2014. He had to step off from "Infinity Challenge", South Korea's most popular TV show three years ago. The verdict would come on September 29.
