K-pop band BTS takes legal action against cyber bullies

SEOUL -- The agency of K-pop band BTS has sued an unspecified number of cyber bullies for attacking the seven-member group with false accusations and malicious comments despite a series of warnings.

With the help of fans who gathered some 41,000 emails containing the evidence of cyber bullying, Big Hit Entertainment has sorted out consistent and malicious cases for its lawsuit.

Malicious rumors have constantly plagued BTS members. Coordinated cyberbullying has been a problem in South Korea's entertainment scene. In December last year, Jonghyun, a SHINee member, committed suicide and experts agreed cyberbullying played a role in his suicide.
