SEOUL, June 03 (AJU PRESS) - K-pop girl band NewJeans made this year's 21 under 21 list released by Billboard last week, along with global pop stars like 4batz, Jessie Murph and Tate McRae.

The five members of the band have "established a singular presence in K-pop since debuting just two years ago," the American music chart said last Friday.

The annual list recognizes "the most innovative and influential young artists in the music industry" based on various factors including "album and track sales, streaming volume, social media impressions and radio/TV audiences reached; career trajectory; and overall impact in the industry."

Shortly after their debut in 2022, NewJeans shot to stardom with five on the Hot 100 singles chart with their songs like "Cool With You," "Ditto," "ETA," "OMG" and "Super Shy" and other songs.

The quintet recently resumed their activities with the release of their new song "How Sweet" last month, which immediately swept major streaming charts at home and abroad, including the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify.
