SEOUL, June 3 (AJU PRESS) - The Pinkfong Company, creator of the global hit cartoon song "Baby Shark," has garnered over 100 billion cumulative views on YouTube, the Korean entertainment company said Monday.

The company has achieved the milestone with over 7,000 pieces of content offered in 25 languages across 244 regions worldwide. Its channels in Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian have ranked among the top 10 channels on the video-sharing platform by views.

Pinkfong's English channel is the first Korean content channel to exceed 50 million YouTube subscribers. Its Spanish channel showed a 300 percent surge in views this year compared to 2023, while the Portuguese channel saw a 126.6 percent increase.

Pinkfong has garnered immense popularity with its Baby Shark content, which portrays the narrative of a lively family of white sharks through vibrant visuals and a catchy melody. The "Baby Shark Dance" video, uploaded in 2016, has gained more than 14 billion views.

Pinkfong aims to accelerate its global business expansion through localization strategies, focusing on content exports and expanding offline businesses through four overseas subsidiaries, including one in Los Angeles.

"Reaching 100 billion YouTube views is a testament to our commitment to providing joyful content that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere, regardless of age, language or region," Pinkfong CEO Kim Min-seok said in a press release. "We are grateful for the support of our fans and look forward to continuing to bring entertaining experiences that connect people around the world."
