SEOUL, June 17 (AJU PRESS) - Girl band Fifty Fifty will return to the K-pop scene this fall with new members, according to their agency Attrackt. Initially planned for June, their comeback is now slated for September to allow for more preparation.
"We planned to return to the stage in June, but decided to meet fans in September as we want to spend more time on final tune-ups," the agency said last week. "But we will release part of tracks ahead of the release of our new album and meet fans in advance with promotional activities."
The former quartet gained sudden spotlight when their debut single, "Cupid" impressively landed on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in February 2023, a remarkable feat for a group managed by a mid-tier agency rather than Korea's major talent mills like HYBE, JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment.
Shortly after their sleeper success, they were embroiled in contract-related disputes with their agency, leading to a suspension of their activities. Keena, the sole remaining member, is getting ready for a fresh start with four new faces recruited through auditions last year.
