But she has tried to show that she is not a just pretty face but a devoted singer by launching a solo career with the release of several hit singles like "Change," "Bubble Pop," and "Lip & Hip."
Yong is a member of K-pop boy band Highlight, formerly of BEAST. He caused some controversy in 2019 when he was involved in a scandal that shook the country. However, he was found to be scot-free, after a police investigation into his association with singer Jung Joon-young, who was recently released after serving five years in prison for illegally videotaping himself having sex with women and sharing the clips via a messaging app.
The scandal resurfaced here in May as British media outlet BBC unveiled some untold stories in its recent coverage.
