In its “smart table” system, customers can place orders via kiosks, after which robot chefs prepare the meals and deliver them to the tables, the company said.
The system aims to maintain consistent food quality while mitigating risks associated with handling hot oil in cooking processes. It features 52 seats and operates from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The resort has also implemented AI baristas, allowing guests to order and receive coffee at their preferred times.
The latest initiative builds upon Kangwon Land's 2022 introduction of 13 robots for room service and other hospitality functions, in collaboration with the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement.
"Through the smart table, we expect improvements in safety and overall service," a spokesperson for Kangwon Land said.
