SEOUL, October 16 (AJP) - Korean robot startup Tesollo unveiled its new robotic hand, the Delto Gripper-5 Finger (DG-5F), at a robotics conference in Abu Dhabi, the company said Wednesday.

The DG-5F, similar in size and structure to a human hand, features five fingers with 20 joints, allowing for smooth and precise movements, according to the company.

It is designed to perform automated tasks such as using tools, assembling and disassembling objects, and streamlining manual work processes in industrial environments.

Tesollo presented the robotic hand at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), which began Monday for a five-day run. About 4,000 robotics engineers from around the world are expected to attend, according to the company.

"Global big tech firms are developing humanoid robots to realize fully automated factories," Tesollo CEO Kim Young-jin said.

"In response, Tesollo aims to supply robotic hands that significantly enhance the capabilities of humanoid robots in production environments."
