SEOUL, December 20 (AJP) - American actress Kimiko Glenn has been nominated by an annual children's and family TV awards ceremony for her voice role as Baby Shark, according to The Pinkfong Company, the creator of Baby Shark.

The Children's and Family Emmys, organized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), recognize achievements in American children's and family TV shows since 2022.

Glenn has been nominated for the third Children's and Family Emmys in the Voice Performer in a Preschool Program category for her role as Baby Shark in the TV series "Baby Shark's Big Show!" The award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on March 15, 2015.

Born in 1989, Glenn gained recognition for her role as inmate Brook Soso in the Netflix TV series Orange Is the New Black. She has also voiced Baby Shark in the film "Baby Shark's Big Movie!"

Pinkfong has gained worldwide popularity for its Baby Shark content, which tells the story of a playful family of white sharks through vibrant visuals and a catchy melody. The "Baby Shark Dance" video, uploaded in 2016, has accumulated more than 15 billion views.

To create content in multiple languages, Pinkfong is working with voice actors from around the world. "When adapting the original lyrics, selecting words that resonate with each culture has been a significant challenge," said Pinkfong's communications manager Yeon Hee-jae.
