SEOUL, April 20 (AJP) - K-pop boy group NCT WISH has dropped its first full-length album on Sunday after successfully wrapping up an encore concert in Seoul.
According to SM Entertainment, NCT WISH releases its first studio album, Ode to Love, at 6 p.m. The 10-track album, featuring the lead single of the same name, brings together the group’s signature “fresh and neo” sound that it has built since debut.
Ahead of the release, the group held its first solo concert encore show, NCT WISH 1st CONCERT TOUR INTO THE WISH : Our WISH ENCORE IN SEOUL, from April 17 to 19 at KSPO DOME. The concerts sold out all seats and drew enthusiastic responses from fans after premiering performances of the title track Ode to Love and B-side song Sticky.
Having shown steady growth with each release since debut, NCT WISH is expected to showcase expanded capabilities in music, performance and teamwork through the new album.
The group will also open a large-scale pop-up store at The Hyundai Seoul from April 21 to May 3 following the album launch.
그룹 NCT WISH가 서울 앙코르 콘서트를 성황리에 마치고 오늘(20일) 첫 정규앨범으로 컴백한다. 소속사 SM Entertainment에 따르면 NCT WISH는 이날 오후 6시 정규 1집 ‘Ode to Love’를 공개한다. 이번 앨범은 데뷔 이후 선보여온 팀 특유의 ‘청량&네오’ 감성을 집대성한 작품으로, 동명의 타이틀곡 ‘Ode to Love’를 포함해 총 10곡이 수록됐다.
컴백에 앞서 NCT WISH는 지난 17일부터 19일까지 서울 KSPO DOME에서 첫 단독 콘서트 앙코르 공연 ‘NCT WISH 1st CONCERT TOUR INTO THE WISH : Our WISH ENCORE IN SEOUL’을 개최했다. 공연은 전석 매진 속에 성황리에 진행됐으며, 타이틀곡 ‘Ode to Love’와 수록곡 ‘Sticky’ 무대를 최초 공개해 팬들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다. NCT WISH는 데뷔 이후 매 활동마다 가파른 성장세를 이어온 만큼, 이번 첫 정규앨범을 통해 음악과 퍼포먼스, 팀워크 전반에서 한층 확장된 역량을 보여줄 것으로 기대를 모은다. 한편 NCT WISH는 앨범 발매 다음 날인 21일부터 5월 3일까지 서울 여의도에 위치한 더현대 에서 대규모 팝업스토어를 열고 팬들과 만날 예정이다.
