The event was attended by Park Hong-jin, CEO of Hyundai Green Food, and Air Force Chief of Staff Son Seok-rak, along with other officials from the Hyundai Department Store Group and the Air Force.

Through this donation, Hyundai Department Store Group will provide 100 million won annually to the Air Force until 2035. The funds will be used for scholarships and living support for the families of Air Force personnel who lost their lives while on duty.

The group is expanding its support for military families. Since 2023, it has been donating 20 million won annually to the 'Patriotism and Comradeship Fund' for the children of Army personnel who died in the line of duty, with a total of 200 million won expected to be contributed by 2032.

Hyundai Department Store Group has also been involved in scholarship programs for the families of firefighters and police officers. From 2008 to last year, it provided a total of 2.732 billion won in scholarships to 788 children of deceased or injured firefighters. Since 2011, it has given 4.97 billion won to 2,677 children of deceased or injured police officers, with plans to continue supporting the children of firefighters and police this year.
