The Small Business Association of Korea announced on June 17 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with LG CNS to establish a support system aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of small businesses through AI adoption.

The agreement, signed during a ceremony at the Small Business Association, aligns with the government's initiative to promote AI transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The partnership aims to bridge the gap in AI utilization between large and small businesses, leveraging the extensive support from LG CNS, a leader in AI and digital transformation.

LG CNS plans to invest approximately $1.5 million annually to strengthen the digital competitiveness of SMEs in three key areas: education, technology, and marketing.

In the education sector, LG CNS will provide training at its Magok facility for SME executives to accelerate AI adoption. This program will help business leaders identify which AI technologies to implement and how to effectively carry out AI transformation.

In the technology sector, LG CNS will support the establishment of a collaborative AI model by linking with newly created government support programs. The company will contribute both cash and in-kind resources to assist in manufacturing innovation within SMEs.

For marketing, LG CNS will utilize its AI marketing solutions to support 100 SMEs over two years in entering global distribution platforms like Amazon and enhancing advertising efficiency on domestic shopping platforms, thereby boosting their digital marketing capabilities.

Previously, on May 18, the Small Business Association held a discussion on policies to promote AI transformation as a new growth engine for SMEs, focusing on tailored support strategies.

Kim Gi-moon, chairman of the Small Business Association, stated, "With the support of LG CNS, a leader in AI transformation, and the backing of our association, we will do our utmost to ensure that a collaborative model between large and small businesses takes root in the field of SMEs."
