Lee Appoints New Senior Secretaries at the Blue House

President Lee Jae-myung appointed Seong Gi-hong as the new Senior Secretary for Public Communication, Han Chan-sik as the Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs, and Kim Kyung-ja as the Senior Secretary for Social Affairs on June 21.

Additionally, Kang Geon-jak, a member of the Future Defense Strategy Committee, and Song Gi-ho, the Economic Security Secretary at the National Security Office, were appointed as the first and third deputy directors of the National Security Office, respectively.

Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff to the President, announced these appointments during a briefing at the Chunchugwan on the same day.

Kang stated, "This personnel change focuses on swiftly realizing the vision of an indispensable Republic of Korea based on the achievements of the past year as we enter the second year of governance."
