Samsung C&T has been selected as the construction company for the Gaepo Woosung 4 reconstruction project in the Dogok-dong area of Gangnam, Seoul.

The Gaepo Woosung 4 reconstruction association approved the selection of Samsung C&T during a general meeting held on June 20. The project will involve the construction of six buildings with a total of 1,045 units, ranging from four basement levels to 49 stories above ground, along with community facilities. The estimated construction cost is approximately 814.5 billion won.

The proposed name for the complex is 'Raemian Dogok Palace.' Samsung C&T plans to establish this new signature development in Dogok-dong, continuing the legacy of the Samsung Tower Palace, which has represented high-end residential culture in Gangnam.

Gaepo Woosung 4 is conveniently located within a three-minute walk from Maebong Station on Subway Line 3. The area is close to several educational institutions, including Guryong Elementary School, Daechi Middle School, and Sookmyung Girls' Middle and High Schools, as well as the Daechi-dong academy district. Residents will also benefit from nearby amenities such as Yangjaecheon Stream, Maebongsan Mountain, and Gangnam Severance Hospital.

Samsung C&T will collaborate with the global design firm UNStudio to create a landmark tower reaching 170 meters in height, featuring a dynamic exterior design. The original plan for ten residential buildings has been reduced to six, optimizing the layout to ensure that 865 of the 1,045 units will have views of Yangjaecheon Stream, Daemosan Mountain, and Guryongsan Mountain.

Additionally, a 70-meter-long elevated pedestrian bridge, named 'Palace Bridge,' will be constructed across Yangjaecheon Road, allowing residents to access the walking paths along the stream without crossing the road.

Community facilities will be designed at approximately 15.2 square meters per unit, featuring a multi-purpose gym, swimming pool, and a forest café, among a total of 81 programs. The 170-meter-high sky community will include a sky lounge, sky bar, and rooftop garden.

Ceilings within the units will be designed at a height of 2.8 meters to enhance openness. Samsung C&T also plans to incorporate advanced residential technologies, including first-class soundproofing, food waste disposal systems, and the Raemian AI parking solution.

Following its recent contracts for the Gaepo Woosung 7 and Daechi Sangyong 1 projects, Samsung C&T is strengthening its presence in the Raemian brand within the Gaepo and Dogok areas.
