Kibo has established a collaborative framework with Seoul National University Hospital and Shinhan Financial Group to support the overseas expansion of K-Bio companies.

On June 26, Kibo co-hosted the "K-Bio Global Innovation Forum" in San Diego, California, with Seoul National University Hospital and Shinhan Financial Group, and announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at jointly discovering and nurturing global K-Bio venture companies.

During the forum, nine domestic bio companies seeking to enter the U.S. market participated in an investment briefing, showcasing their technological capabilities and commercialization strategies to global investors and pharmaceutical representatives. A subsequent expert seminar discussed the latest trends and market outlook in the U.S. bio industry, as well as global expansion strategies. A panel discussion exchanged views on ways to activate investment attraction, technology transfer, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) markets.

Under the agreement, the institutions will jointly pursue initiatives including the discovery and nurturing of promising bio venture companies, collaboration on technology commercialization and clinical connections, financial support through guarantees, loans, and investments, and consulting and global network support for overseas market entry.

Previously, Kibo signed a "Global Open Innovation Agreement" in April with the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Roche Korea, and the Basel Investment Authority to promote the overseas expansion of K-Bio companies.

Chun Chang-ho, an executive at Kibo, stated, "This forum and memorandum of understanding have laid the groundwork for domestic bio venture companies to directly collaborate with overseas investors, pharmaceutical companies, and medical institutions. Kibo will continue to actively support the strengthening of K-Bio companies' competitiveness and their overseas expansion based on a global network."
