President Lee to Lead Second Round of Government Reports Starting July 15

President Lee Jae-myung will preside over the second round of government department reports starting July 15, with a total of nine sessions planned.

Approximately 200 members of the public observation group will attend these reports, which aim to assess the implementation of the initiatives presented by various departments during last year's reports.

The Blue House announced the schedule in a press release, stating that the reports will involve 140 public institutions, including the Office for Government Policy Coordination, 19 ministries, six offices, 18 agencies, and seven committees focused on citizen-centered livelihood projects. The sessions will detail the progress of reform tasks, local-led growth initiatives, and national normalization efforts.

Notably, this round of department reports will feature the participation of the public observation group, allowing citizens to receive updates directly and ask questions in a participatory format.

On Facebook, President Lee encouraged public participation, stating, "We are starting the first department report where the government and citizens come together." He expressed his anticipation for the 200 members of the public observation group, explaining, "This report is not just about announcing results; it is a platform to confirm policy outcomes and discuss the future direction of governance with the public."

He added, "I hope we can directly observe how policies are implemented in the lives of citizens and gather wisdom for a better tomorrow."

President Lee emphasized that all government actions ultimately aim to improve citizens' lives, stating, "The starting and ending points of policies are the people." Applications for the public observation group will be accepted from 9 a.m. on July 1 until noon on July 6 through President Lee's Facebook, YouTube, X, and Instagram accounts.

He concluded by stating, "Based on past achievements and challenges, we will firmly establish the milestones for the future of South Korea."
