SEOUL, July 3 (AJP) - President Lee Jae Myung's approval rating has rebounded in about three weeks.
In a survey of about 1,005 adults nationwide conducted by pollster Gallup Korea earlier in the week, 54 percent of respondents said Lee is doing well, up 3 percentage points from the previous poll in the second week of last month.
About 36 percent disapproved of his performance, while 10 percent remained undecided.
Among Lee's supporters, the most-cited reason was "the economy and livelihoods" at 24 percent, followed by "diplomacy" at 14 percent.
The rebound comes after Lee's approval rating had remained below 50 percent for several weeks in recent surveys by other pollsters including Realmeter.

In terms of party support, the ruling Democratic Party (DP) remained steady at 41 percent, while the main opposition People Power Party (PPP) slipped 1 percentage point to 19 percent.
The minor Reform Party and Rebuilding Korea Party garnered 2 percent of support each, followed by the left-wing Progressive Party at 1 percent.
About a quarter of respondents said they had no party preference.
