On July 29, the ministry announced the opening of the '2026 Korea AI Innovation Talent Connect' at The Plaz in COEX, Gangnam, Seoul. The event will run for three days until July 31.
As of 2024, the number of AI professionals in South Korea is estimated to be around 57,000, but the demand from the industry far exceeds this figure. During the event, various programs will be held to foster the growth and exchange of AI talent. Additionally, an exhibition featuring 22 universities and nine companies will showcase the achievements of AI talent development initiatives and support students' career exploration through mock interviews, one-on-one consulting, corporate recruitment briefings, and graduate school admission counseling.
