More than 700 of KakaoBank's roughly 1,000 unionized workers took part in the strike by taking paid leave and staying off the job. No separate rally was held.
The bank's labor union said it is discussing its next steps internally.
The strike came after the union had been negotiating with management over wages since earlier this year but was unable to narrow differences over bonuses and annual pay raises. Details of the talks were not disclosed, but the two sides reportedly discussed annual pay raises of around 5 percent to 6 percent and failed to reach an agreement.
Despite the strike, customers appeared to face little disruption as the bank operates entirely online, with no strike-related complaints reported so far.
