Medytox announced that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter reached 68.7 billion won, with an operating profit of 4.8 billion won. Revenue increased by 11% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit fell by 25%.

According to the company, sales of botulinum toxin products maintained a strong performance in both domestic and international markets, driving revenue growth. Despite intensified competition in the domestic toxin market, the premium toxin 'Coretox' has solidified its position, and the expansion of the next-generation toxin product 'Newlux' into overseas markets contributed to a 25% increase in toxin segment sales compared to the previous year.

In contrast, the domestic filler market experienced a slight decline in revenue compared to the same period last year, attributed to intensified competition and changes in market conditions. However, the overseas filler business expanded sales in key countries, contributing to overall revenue growth.

The beauty and healthcare business, including the derma cosmetic 'Newraderm' and the fat-reducing probiotic 'Lactiplan,' had a limited impact on overall business growth despite the expansion of the aesthetic portfolio.

The domestically developed new drug 'Newbiju,' a fat-reducing injection, has quickly established itself in the market amid high interest from medical professionals and consumers, positioning itself as a new growth driver.

A Medytox official stated, "Our key products are continuing to show stable growth, and particularly, 'Newbiju' is establishing itself in the domestic market faster than expected. We will focus on nurturing 'Newbiju' as a new growth pillar while continuously enhancing the global competitiveness of our existing toxin and filler businesses to maintain our growth trajectory."
