KT announced that it held the 'Seoul National University-KT-KAIST Industry-Academic Joint Research Final Results Workshop' on August 30.
About 50 researchers from KT, Seoul National University, and KAIST attended the workshop to share the final results of their joint research conducted over the past year and discuss ways to utilize the related technologies at KT.
In collaboration with Seoul National University, KT focused on research in areas such as context understanding and reasoning for autonomous agents, improving evaluation criteria and reliability for Responsible AI (RAI), securing Korean datasets, developing behavior prediction models, and enhancing user feedback reinforcement learning frameworks. With KAIST, the research centered on prompt compression and optimization technologies to reduce the input processing burden of large-scale language models and improve the inference efficiency of AI models and agent services.
KT plans to validate and internalize the key research outcomes secured through this joint research to connect them with its model, platform, and service competitiveness. The company also aims to identify follow-up projects reflecting business and technology demands to expand research and development collaboration in areas such as agentic AI, RAI, physical AI, and token efficiency.
