SK Telecom has introduced a new feature called 'A. log' in its A. app, which helps users organize and retrieve photos taken with Meta's AI glasses and Android smartphones. This feature analyzes the information in photos using AI to automatically generate titles, descriptions, and tags, and is compatible with all models of Meta's AI glasses.

On August 31, SK Telecom unveiled the 'A. log' feature, which automatically creates titles, descriptions, and appropriate tags by analyzing the information in photos. For instance, if a user takes a picture of a concert poster, the feature will record details such as the concert name, date, and location. Users can search for records by time or keywords and view related records in a list format based on the automatically generated tags.

Photos are automatically categorized into various categories, including business cards, receipts, whiteboards, meeting materials, parking locations, and posters. Users of AI glasses can access the 'A. log' screen from the top left of the A. app and set up the automatic linking feature to utilize photos taken with the AI glasses as records. Compatible models include the Ray-Ban Meta Gen2 and all other models of Meta's AI glasses. Smartphone users can take photos using the 'A. log' camera within the A. app or import existing photos from their gallery to apply the feature.

To protect personal information, any sensitive data, such as resident registration numbers, included in the photos will be automatically masked before analysis, and the photos will be stored only on the user's device, not on servers. SK Telecom plans to further enhance its AI services by integrating 'A. log' with 'A. note' to provide a comprehensive record that combines photos and notes. The 'A. log' feature will be available on Android OS through an update to the A. app.

Jang Seong-guk, head of AI service development at SK Telecom, stated, "'A. log' expands the utility of new devices like AI glasses for quickly capturing moments into everyday record-keeping experiences. We will continue to enhance the A. service to make it easier for customers to leave and utilize various forms of information, such as photos and notes."
