Yoo Si-min Critiques President Lee on Controversy Over Derogatory Terms

Yoo Si-min criticized President Lee Jae-myung on September 20 for not adequately addressing the controversy surrounding the use of derogatory terms within the progressive camp. Yoo stated that the president seems to be diagnosing the issue incorrectly.

In a recent episode of 'The Beautiful' on YouTube, Yoo likened the use of derogatory terms to a pebble in a shoe, saying, "A small pebble can be very uncomfortable when it gets underfoot. The president seems to think it’s just uncomfortable without addressing the need to remove it."

Yoo added that this tendency has politically isolated President Lee, suggesting, "It seems he will continue to walk with these small pebbles in his shoe."

He also compared the issue of prosecutorial reform to an unwanted pair of shoes, indicating that the president is being forced to wear shoes he did not choose. Yoo remarked, "The issue of prosecutorial reform is something the president did not want, but he is reluctantly wearing the shoes that the public has given him. This is why it becomes problematic and uncomfortable. Sometimes in life, you have to wear uncomfortable shoes."

Regarding the president's current situation, Yoo stated, "Isn’t he struggling to take steps while wearing these shoes? I believe that is the case. If he were to shake off the shoes and remove the pebbles, he could still reach the destination he originally intended. He needs to take off the shoes and shake them out."
