Hugel has invited Taiwanese aesthetic medical professionals to South Korea to strengthen its market presence through a global academic program.

From September 16 to 19, Hugel conducted the 'L.E.A.D. (Letybo Experience & Discovery)' program for 25 Taiwanese medical practitioners, the company announced on September 21.

Participants toured the production facilities for Hugel's botulinum toxin product 'Letybo' and hyaluronic acid (HA) filler 'The Chaeum,' which is marketed in Taiwan under the name 'Revolax.' The medical professionals observed the production processes and quality control systems, confirming the manufacturing competitiveness of Hugel's products.

They also visited local clinics to share insights on the latest trends and techniques in the South Korean aesthetic medical market. Lee Seung-joo, director of Diader Dermatology, conducted live demonstrations using Hugel's botulinum toxin and fillers, providing clinical case studies and practical training applicable to real procedures.

Taiwan is recognized as a key aesthetic market in the Asia-Pacific region, with high demand for botulinum toxin, fillers, and skin boosters.

Hugel was the first domestic company to enter the Taiwanese market in 2019 and has since established a direct sales system centered around its local subsidiary. According to the company, it currently holds a 30% market share in Taiwan's botulinum toxin sector, ranking second.

Hugel aims to increase its market share in Taiwan's toxin sector to 35% by 2027. The company also plans to expand its HA filler product line, which began sales in the first half of last year, to enhance synergy with its toxin products and strengthen its position in the local aesthetic market.

Ji Seung-wook, vice president of Hugel's business division, stated, "We will continue to expand our market share in the toxin sector while enhancing the competitiveness of our entire product line, including HA fillers and cosmetics."

Meanwhile, Hugel's performance is expected to improve continuously, driven by the expansion of the aesthetic market. According to securities analysts, Hugel's annual revenue is projected to grow from 503 billion won this year to 614 billion won in 2027 and 704 billion won in 2028. Operating profit is estimated to increase from 195 billion won to 239 billion won and then to 307 billion won during the same period.
