KT announced on September 21 that it shared examples of artificial intelligence (AI) transformation (AX) innovations in the finance and media sectors at its KT West building in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, in collaboration with BC Card, KT ENA, and KT Studio Genie.

The event was part of the 'KT Group Connect Week,' aimed at sharing AX achievements and growth drivers across the group. KT showcased its AX capabilities and results, extending from industrial infrastructure to everyday customer experiences.

BC Card is driving innovation in operations and customer service based on payment data and finance-specialized AI. It operates the finance-focused generative AI platform 'BCGPT' and the AI-based work automation solution 'MOAI,' along with services like the payment data-driven restaurant recommendation service 'Eat.pl' and the shopping curation service 'AI Hot Deal,' which uses AI to select and summarize discount information.

KT ENA has applied various technologies, including generative AI production and AI video reproduction, to content tailored to different genres.

The entertainment program 'Just Leave It to Me' features a process where both a person and generative AI create promotional videos within the same timeframe. This initiative goes beyond using AI merely as a production tool, demonstrating the different creative methods and possibilities of human and AI collaboration in producing promotional videos for small businesses.

KT Studio Genie introduced a production system that applies AI from content planning to production and quality control, presenting a vision for an 'AI Cinema Studio' centered on creators.

The AI production system, led by the AI Business Promotion Team, consists of three main components: AI supervisors, AI-optimized filming systems, and AI-specialized production platforms. It designs AI application methods for each work and manages the production process while leveraging accumulated experience and know-how for future projects.

In the recently aired second episode of the ENA drama 'New Recruit 4: Sabotage,' AI was utilized to create images of explosions and battlefields. The upcoming AI hybrid martial arts short-form drama 'Mushin Gwi Hanrok,' set to be released later this year, will also incorporate full AI action and motion transfer technology.

KT Studio Genie plans to effectively realize creators' intentions through AI production, expanding the scale and expressive possibilities of works beyond the limitations of traditional production methods.

Kim Dong-hoon, KT's Public Relations Director, stated, 'We will continue to showcase various AX innovation cases and growth drivers through KT Group Connect Week, concretely demonstrating our vision as an 'AX Platform Company' that drives changes in customers' daily lives and industrial sites.'
