Lotte Department Store is participating in the inaugural 'Korea Social Value Festa,' showcasing social contribution activities focused on mental health and environmental sustainability.

From September 21 to 22, Lotte will operate the 'Lotte Department Store Pavilion' at the 3rd Korea Social Value Festa held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The event is the largest social value gathering in the country, organized by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year's festival is themed 'From Thought to Action, From Problems to Solutions,' featuring programs that share various social issues and solutions related to society, community, innovation, and the environment. Participants include government officials, businesses, academia, and social economy organizations.

The Lotte Pavilion is designed around the slogan 'A Better Me, A Better Earth, A Better Society.' It offers interactive content centered on the Rejoice and Real campaigns to help visitors understand social value through hands-on experiences.

Launched in 2017, the Rejoice campaign supports self-esteem, dreams, and challenges. The pavilion will screen videos featuring stories from counselors and beneficiaries, and provide visitors with 'Daily Mental Health Prescription' kits.

The Real campaign, which has been running since 2021, focuses on eco-friendliness. The pavilion will sell five types of upcycled goods, including tote bags, cardholders, pouches, and cooling bags made from recycled banners. All proceeds from these sales will be donated to the carbon-neutral 'School Forest' project.

A visitor participation program is also available. The first 2,000 attendees who pass an environmental quiz will have the opportunity to create upcycled keychains. Additionally, a 'Message Wall' will display messages written by visitors, and an LED model of the Earth will change based on participation in activities.

Lee Seong-hyun, head of communications at Lotte Department Store, stated, "It is meaningful for us to be the first in the department store industry to participate in the Korea Social Value Festa. We will continue to strive to enhance the value of Rejoice and Real as representative social contribution activities in Korea."
