POSCO DX is applying artificial intelligence (AI) to its consulting processes for the introduction of AI agents. The company plans to automate preliminary steps in AI agent development, such as business diagnosis, requirements analysis, and documentation, to reduce consulting time by more than half and accelerate AX execution.

On September 22, POSCO DX announced the development of its AI agent, 'Agentee-C,' which will support consulting processes. Agentee-C is designed to assist with tasks traditionally performed by consultants, including interviews, business analysis, issue identification, requirements organization, and documentation.

Before developing Agentee-C, POSCO DX created and is operating a platform called 'Agentee' that integrates the lifecycle management of AI agents, from development to operation, evaluation, and redeployment. The business analysis and design results generated by Agentee-C will be input into Agentee.

While the existing Agentee manages the lifecycle of AI agents post-deployment, Agentee-C focuses on the earlier stages of business identification, analysis, and design. By linking the two solutions, POSCO DX has connected the entire process from AX issue identification to AI agent development, operation, and evaluation into a single system.

Through this initiative, POSCO DX aims to cut the time required for consulting and design by more than half, enabling a quicker transition to development and operation phases, thereby enhancing the AX execution speed for its clients.

This year, POSCO DX established an 'AI Workforce Task Force' to intensify its AX consulting and AI agent development and operations. Agentee-C began operations in July and is currently being applied to the company's AX projects to accumulate practical experience. Based on this, the company plans to refine its consulting methodologies tailored to industry and client characteristics by the end of the year, expanding its external AX business scope.

A POSCO DX representative stated, “The success of AI transformation depends more on how people and AI are designed to collaborate and share tasks than on the AI tools used. We will support the rapid and systematic identification of AX issues using AI agents, ensuring efficiency from development to operation and management.”

Meanwhile, the POSCO Group has established a 'goal-oriented AI transformation' strategy to accelerate the group's AI overhaul, focusing on three pillars: business, office, and value. The group aims to secure a competitive edge in technology through AX in manufacturing while spreading AI across all office tasks to innovate work processes.
