Hyundai Department Store's K-content export platform, 'The Hyundai Global,' is making its debut in Paris, France.

From October 6 to 27, Hyundai Department Store will operate a pop-up store for The Hyundai Global on the third floor of the Galeries Lafayette's Osman flagship. This marks the first time The Hyundai Global has opened a pop-up store in Europe.

The approximately 79 square meter (24 pyeong) pop-up will showcase products from five K-fashion brands: Kimhae Kim, Lee, Lai, Preeter, and The Ilma.

The event is being conducted in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency. Hyundai Department Store is responsible for event planning, product transportation, and local store operations, while the Korea Creative Content Agency will support participating brands and local promotions.

The Hyundai Global serves as a platform for domestic fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands to expand their overseas markets. Following its launch in Tokyo, Japan, in 2024, the platform has been expanding to Osaka, Nagoya, Taipei, and Taichung.

In July, it opened its first flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo, covering about 620 square meters (187 pyeong). This is the first instance of a Korean department store operating a large flagship store in a key commercial area in Japan. According to Hyundai Department Store, the Omotesando flagship has exceeded its sales target by 30%. Previous pop-up stores in Shibuya Parco, Japan, and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Taiwan recorded the highest sales among all pop-ups at those locations.

Hyundai Department Store aims to use the Paris pop-up as a stepping stone to expand The Hyundai Global's reach into Europe and North America. The goal is to establish over ten flagship stores in Asia, Europe, and North America by 2030.

Yoo Hee-yeol, Executive Director of Hyundai Department Store's Fashion Division, stated, "The Hyundai Global not only promotes the excellence of K-content but also serves as a bridge for domestic brands to leap onto the global stage. We will strengthen our role as a global hub to support the entry and growth of promising domestic brands in overseas markets."
