Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that while Russia refrained from attacking oil facilities and energy infrastructure for two days following U.S. President Donald Trump's mention of an 'energy truce,' Russia has continued its assaults on 19 regions of Ukraine. During these attacks, a residential building in Kyiv was destroyed, resulting in four fatalities.

On October 13, Zelensky issued a statement asserting, 'Russia has clearly shown that it has no intention of halting its attacks on Ukraine by targeting energy facilities and critical infrastructure.'

He explained that over the past two days, 19 regions of Ukraine were subjected to Russian attacks. From the night before to the afternoon of the same day, more than 100 weapons, including jet-powered drones, loitering munitions, and ballistic missiles, were deployed, leading to the destruction of a residential building in Kyiv and the deaths of four individuals.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is prepared to take reciprocal measures to ease tensions, but he urged that effective pressure on Russia is necessary to achieve this.

Earlier, President Trump announced on October 11 that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a truce in the energy sector. Zelensky supported Trump's truce proposal the following day but claimed there had been violations, including attacks on Ukraine's gas production facilities by Russia.

Zelensky warned, 'If Russia does not agree to an energy truce this winter, we will respond accordingly.'
