Gaon Cable achieved its highest-ever quarterly performance in the third quarter of 2026, driven by growth in the U.S. power infrastructure market and increased exports.

The company reported preliminary consolidated figures for Q3, showing sales of 986.5 billion won, operating profit of 52 billion won, and net profit of 30 billion won on October 19.

Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 51.9% and operating profit surged by 99.1%, marking record highs for both metrics on a quarterly basis. Compared to the previous quarter, sales and operating profit rose by 13.5% and 43.9%, respectively, continuing the growth trend.

For the first three quarters of the year, cumulative sales reached 2.6194 trillion won, with operating profit at 116 billion won, surpassing last year's annual figures of 2.5457 trillion won in sales and 792 billion won in operating profit within just nine months. Notably, the growth rate of operating profit significantly outpaced that of sales, indicating a robust improvement in profitability driven by the expansion of North American operations and a focus on high-value products.

This strong performance was fueled by increased demand for cables and bus ducts due to investments in AI data centers (AIDC), renewable energy, and power grid expansion in the U.S. Gaon Cable's exports of distribution cables have also steadily increased, benefiting from supply shortages and heightened investments in the power grid within the U.S.

The growth of Gaon Cable's U.S. subsidiary, LSCUS, continues as well. LSCUS has established itself as a top-five global supplier of bus ducts by collaborating with LS Cable to supply bus ducts to major U.S. tech companies' AIDCs. With the expansion of cable supplies for AIDCs and solar power plants, annual sales for this year are expected to double compared to last year.
