The Korea Tourism Organization is collaborating with Kakao to host a public participation event titled 'Let's Go on an Autumn Trip with Chunsik!' until November 22.

This event is part of the 'Travel Month' campaign organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, aimed at promoting domestic travel and invigorating local tourism.

'Travel Month' is a campaign running from October for two months, involving over 230 public and private organizations and businesses offering various discounts on transportation, accommodation, and travel products.

This autumn campaign is branded as '2026 Travel Month in Autumn.' In the accommodation sector, approximately 80,000 discount vouchers for non-capital region lodging facilities are available. Discounts of 30,000 won are offered for products over 70,000 won, and 20,000 won for those under 70,000 won. In the transportation sector, travelers visiting 89 depopulated areas using T-map can earn up to 30,000 points.

From October 29 to November 15, the '2026 Korea Grand Festival,' a nationwide discount festival, will also take place.

To participate in the 'Let's Go on an Autumn Trip with Chunsik!' event, visitors must go to one of the 33 recommended autumn travel destinations across the country. They can scan a QR code from a Chunsik character standee installed on-site. After that, they can authenticate their visit using KakaoTalk's digital certification service, Talk Digital Card, and share the event with KakaoTalk friends at least three times to complete their entry.

The selected 33 destinations include scenic spots such as Gangcheonsan National Park (Sunchang, North Jeolla), Gosu Cave (Danyang, North Chungcheong), Daegwallyeong Sky Ranch (Pyeongchang, Gangwon), Sosu Confucian Academy (Yeongju, North Gyeongsang), and Jeju Byeolbit Nuri Park (Jeju).

Through a lottery, over 100 participants will receive various prizes, including the LG StanbyMe2 Max, Pulio massage devices, and KakaoTalk gift coupons. Winners will be announced on November 30, and detailed participation methods and travel destination information can be found on the official 'Travel Month' website.

Kim Seok-il, head of the Domestic Travel Promotion Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, 'We designed this event to allow everyone to easily participate using KakaoTalk and to share the autumn experience with family and friends by visiting travel destinations. We hope that with this event and the various discounts on transportation, accommodation, and travel products, people will discover new attractions while traveling across the country this autumn and invigorate local communities.'
