SEOUL, November 2 (AJP) - South Korea will participate in a U.S.-led multinational space war game for the first time this week, as the allies seek to strengthen cooperation and improve their capability to respond to potential threats in space, the South Korean Air Force said on Monday.

The U.S. Space Force-led multinational exercise, dubbed "Partner to Win" runs from Monday to Friday in Orlando, Florida, with South Korea joining five other countries including Brazil, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and the U.S.

The tabletop exercise aims to strengthen cooperation among allies and partner countries on space-related policies and strategies, while improving their ability to conduct joint operations in space.

"The exercise will provide an opportunity to deepen cooperation with allies and partner countries as the space environment evolves," said Col. Kim Si-mon, chief of the Air Force Space Center.

He also vowed to improve the military's training programs and strengthen its ability to take part in multinational space operations.
