SEOUL -- BTS has rolled out its digital single "Take Two" to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the band's debut. All members including two members fulfilling their mandatory military service -- J-Hope and Jin -- participated in the song featuring a soothing vibe and acoustic rhythms ahead of the 10th-anniversary festival set to begin on June 12.
Big Hit released the seven-member band's single at 1 p.m. (0400 GMT) on June 9. "The song conveys their appreciation toward ARMY for all the love you shower them with and their desire to always be together with you," the agency said. The music video for the song featuring a relaxing vibe gained more than 260,000 views within one hour of its release.
Big Hit has earlier announced that the group's 10th-anniversary festival titled "2023 BTS FESTA" would take place at various attractions in Seoul including Dongdaemun Digital Plaza (DDP) and Seoul Tower from June 12 to June 25. Big Hit will showcase different content during the 14-day event such as fireworks. The group's leader RM will also interact with fans on June 17 at a river park in Yeouido, an area near central Seoul where the National Assembly building is located.
All event spots including City Hall and the World Cup Bridge will be stained purple, an iconic color of the K-pop band. W Concept, the online apparel shopping mall wing of South Korea's retail giant Shinsegae, will release BTS T-shirts designed to celebrate the group's 10th debut anniversary. The online apparel platform operator, which sells fashion items in 44 countries, will sell T-shirts available in two colors – black and blue through two official websites.
The K-pop phenomenon, debuted on June 13, 2013, has topped Billboard's top 100 popular song chart with six songs over the past 10 years. J-HOPE and Jin -- are currently fulfilling their compulsory military service in South Korea which is technically at war with North Korea. The two artists were both selected as assistant drill instructors.
