The move makes Yogiyo more competitive against market leaders Baedal Minjok (Baemin) and Coupang Eats, both of which charge 9.8 percent.
Yogiyo said the decision was made to "reduce the burden on restaurant owners and maintain a sustainable ecosystem of cooperation."
"Depending on sales performance, even lower commission rates may be applied," a Yogiyo spokesperson said, noting that rates could drop to as low as 4.7 percent for high-volume restaurants.
The commission cut comes as Yogiyo attempts to regain market share after slipping to third place behind Coupang Eats in March, with Baemin in first place.
