SEOUL, November 20 (AJP) - A protest was held in Seoul today, November 20, 2024, to oppose rice imports and demand the stabilization of rice prices. Protesters also called for the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol, accusing him of failing to address the issue of plummeting rice prices and destroying farmers' livelihoods through expanded agricultural imports.
Organizers estimated that 10,000 people participated in the protest, while police put the figure at 6,000.
