SEOUL, January 15 (AJP) - Seven-member boy band KickFlip will make their debut next week.

"KickFlip will kick off their activities on Jan. 20 with the release of their first mini album, 'Flip It, Kick It!'," said their agency JYP Entertainment on Wednesday.

Comprising five South Koreans and two Japanese, a couple of them including rapper Kyehoon have gained some recognition through their appearance on terrestrial broadcaster SBS' audition program "LOUD," which aired in 2021.

Expectations for their debut remain high, as they were recently named one of the "8 K-pop Rookies to Watch" for this year by Grammy.com.

The music video for their teaser track "Umm Great," released last week, has already garnered over 13 million views on YouTube in about just 10 days.

"All seven members possess vibrant musical personas," the agency said. "Their free-spirited concept conveys positive energy, and we hope they will shape new trends in K-pop."
