Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with the leading private fast-charging operator in South Korea to enhance the charging experience for electric vehicle users.

On June 29, Hyundai Motor Group announced the launch of its 'Plug and Charge (PnC)' service at nationwide charging stations in collaboration with Chaebi.

PnC is an international standard technology that automates the entire process of member authentication, charging, and payment once the charging cable is connected to an electric vehicle. PnC charging stations utilize encrypted communication between the vehicle and the charger, allowing customers to enjoy a simple and secure charging experience by merely connecting the charging cable.

This collaboration marks the first tangible outcome of Hyundai Motor Group's plan announced last December to expand the domestic PnC network. As a result, PnC will now be available at over 1,500 Chaebi charging stations across the country, in addition to the existing 83 E-pit fast-charging stations operated by Hyundai Motor Group.

A representative from Hyundai Motor Group stated, "This is a significant turning point in our efforts to spread customer-centric charging innovations. We will continue to work closely with private charging operators and the government to build an ecosystem that enhances both the convenience and safety of electric vehicle charging infrastructure."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Group is accelerating efforts to enhance the convenience of electric vehicle charging by expanding its charging infrastructure through private operators.
