LG Electronics' G3 and Apple Inc.'s iPhone 6 were named as co-winners of the Best Smartphone award by the organizer of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) wireless show in Barcelona, Spain. Tuesday (local time).
The Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA) announced the winners of the 20th Global Mobile Awards during a ceremony hosted by actor, comedian, writer and film producer John Cleese. The awards ceremony was held at the MWC.The Best Low Cost Smartphone award (sub US$100) went to Motorola's Moto E, while Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 won the Best Mobile Tablet award.
Motorola Mobility captured the Best Wearable Mobile Technology award for its Moto 360.
