The HCR-10L, boasting a reach of 180 centimeters, is claimed to have the longest arm in its 10-kilogram payload class globally. It is designed for various industrial applications including powder coating, palletizing and welding.
Hanwha Robotics also demonstrated its motion tracking and recording technology, which allows the HCR-10L to learn and replicate human movements. The company displayed the robot's capability to mimic an expert's powder coating technique on car bonnets and wheels.
"With the HCR-10L at the forefront, we aim to establish a foothold for entering the U.S. and European markets," said Jung Byung-chan, CEO of Hanwha Robotics. "We plan to continuously expand our overseas dealerships to increase our global robot market share."
The IMTS 2024, one of the world's largest manufacturing technology exhibitions, has attracted about 1,800 companies from 29 countries, showcasing advancements in automation, robotics and artificial intelligence. Hanwha Robotics' booth reportedly drew about an average of 15,000 visitors daily.
