KB Financial Group announced on September 7 that it held the '2026 Group Integrated AI Agent Competition' on September 3 at the new headquarters of KB Kookmin Bank in Yeouido, Seoul.
The competition aimed to address workplace issues identified by employees using artificial intelligence (AI) and to disseminate successful cases across the group. A total of 116 teams, comprising 316 members from seven affiliates, including KB Financial Group, KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Card, KB Life, and KB Capital, participated, with 12 teams advancing to the finals after preliminary rounds.
In the finals, various improvement cases were presented, including security log analysis, anomaly detection, internal document analysis, customer feedback (VOC) analysis, early detection of consumer risks, insurance product development, and customer consultation. Judging focused on the feasibility of real-world application, scalability, and business impact.
The top prize was awarded to the 'Customer Care AI Control Center' presented by KB Insurance's 'Customer's KB' team. This project utilizes 20 AI agents to monitor the entire process of consultation and compensation, assessing consultation quality, compliance, and adherence to loss adjustment standards, while identifying items requiring immediate action through an integrated scoring system. It received high marks for its potential to standardize customer service quality and prevent complaints and disputes.
KB Financial plans to implement the successful projects in actual operations and share verified AI agents among its affiliates, building a collective AI asset for the group.
A KB Financial representative stated, “We will support the application of excellent AI agents in the field so that employees' ideas can lead to improved work efficiency and customer experience, and we will disseminate verified cases throughout the group.”
