On September 7, SK Ecoplant announced that it is recruiting participants for the '2026 ConTech Meet-Up Day' until the end of the month.
The ConTech Meet-Up Day is an open technology innovation competition aimed at identifying startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative technologies, promoting joint technology development and commercialization.
In the 2025 competition, startups and SMEs with innovative technologies in eight areas participated, including Industry AI, generative AI, AI security, wearable AI, robotics, semiconductors, fuel cells, and others.
This year's competition will focus on 22 demand technologies applicable to SK Ecoplant's business and field operations. Key areas of recruitment include AI data centers, off-site construction (OSC), design AI, purchasing AI, construction AI, robotics and automation, and resource recycling and safety.
In the AI data center category, technologies for optimizing power, cooling, design, and operational efficiency will be sought. The OSC category will look for technologies related to design, module production, logistics, and installation automation. Additionally, the competition will explore technologies and solutions for drawing analysis and design review, appropriate cost analysis and cost prediction, site progress and quality management, robot-based process automation, and resource recycling and safety.
Startups and SMEs with relevant innovative technologies or solutions are encouraged to participate in the competition. Applications can be submitted through the SK Ecoplant website until the end of the month.
SK Ecoplant will conduct document reviews and presentation evaluations for the submitted technologies. The evaluation will comprehensively consider the innovation potential, joint technology development possibilities, and applicability to SK Ecoplant's business and field operations to select the award-winning companies.
The winning companies will collaborate with SK Ecoplant on joint technology development and explore commercialization opportunities.
